Ulyana Horodyskyj Peña is a scientist and explorer whose work has taken her from the world’s highest mountains to both polar regions, studying glaciers and environmental pollution. She has climbed and conducted fieldwork across the Himalaya, Andes, Cordillera Blanca, Alps, and Cascades, as well as summited 79 of Colorado’s 100 highest peaks.
Her research and expeditions have been supported by National Geographic, NASA, the Fulbright Program, the National Science Foundation, and The Explorers Club. She brings science beyond academia through keynote speaking, television and documentary work, science consulting, and public engagement, sharing her work on the TEDx stage, on screen, and with audiences around the world.
